Hello. I’m Walt Frasier, a professional entertainer with 30+ years international credits in TV (Blacklist, Billions, Blue Bloods, Royal Pains, etc), Commercials, Comedy (HBO, MTV, Letterman), Theater (Touring, regional, off-Broadway) and Music (Opera, Jazz, Church).
Our improv comedy show, EIGHT IMPROV is the longest running comedy show in New York City, playing live from Times Square NYC since 2002. We tour theaters, schools, community centers and private family & corporate events DC to Boston and beyond. Also known as Improv 4 Kids, Improv 4 Teens, and our Off-Broadway run, LMAO NYC, we have now entertained 8000+ audiences featuring an all paid cast!
Almost daily, my growing army of teaching artists work with corporate teams and student groups from around the world. Our improv workshops are a ton of fun and powerful tools teaching self-confidence, community and leadership skills.
My Three Guiding Principals
We start every edutainment with our three #1s:
- HAVE FUN but NEVER at another’s expense! (My #1 Rule). Focus on great story telling and theater. Never bad comedy.
- YES AND… (The #1 Rule in Improv) always accept your team.mates and their offers. Follow up with words and actions in support, setting up our team mates for success. (No worries, they got our back)
- LISTEN! (The #1 Skill in Comedy) Listen with your eyes. Listen with the willingness to change!
Everything else is ego & insecurity, the destroyers of all – creativity, relationships, leadership, sales etc. Over time if you focus on these three principals, you realize that by getting out of your own way, you play to the top of your intelligence. AND when you skip the PANIC faze, you get to the I GOT THIS or I CAN FIGURE THIS OUT faze quicker.
My one man show, Madcapped Mysteries, is now touring public and private events. Every show leads to 1-3 more, because folks LOVE IT and have to have at their next event.
