    Interactive Immersive Shows

    Our two signature shows include interactive musical improv comedy improvised and Murder Mystery Dinner Theater. We daily host corporate teams and student groups. Our tours include clubs, theaters, schools, community centers, offices, and private homes.

    • Improv by EIGHT: Our Signature improv shows bring musical comedy, immersive games and great comedic theater to any event. We famously promote PG13 comedy. We stay smart and relevant. We flirt on the edge while remaining friendly for the office, college campus, church/temple, and even all ages family events. Our main stage show features five actors. It lasts about 75 minutes. We also have smaller shows for more intimate settings. We have performed over 8000 shows in 20+ years, mostly due to rebookings year after year.
    • Murder Mystery Dinner Theater shows feature four or more professional character actors mingling with your guests. We stage a death, and then our detective deputizes the crowd to help solve the crime. 1920s Speakeasy and Organized Crime / Death of a Mob Boss are the most popular. We also have numerous themes, and regularly develop new shows around client requests.

    HIGH IMPACT LOVE EXPERIENCES for smaller venues, crowds and/or budgets!

    Our smaller shows and immersive experiences are more popular than ever. The price points are incredibly enticing, but we don’t skip on impact. We only send one of our top event MCs to lead activities. This gets more of your guests on their feet and engaged in activities. These events are idea community building activities, from corporate team building to family reunions. Also, these shows are very popular at libraries, 55+ communities, and private family homes. Every show/experience below is less than $1000.

    • CLUE PARTIES Want to get your guests out of their seats and mingling. Our original CLUE PARTY scripts transform all or many of them, depending on event size, into characters. Our detective starts and ends the show. However, for the most part, your guests are engaged in what we call SPEED DATING FOR SUSPECTS. Often, they play both suspect and detective. Guests must interrogate each other to collect character stories and clues which lead to ONE definitive perp. Our detective arrives with scripts (disguised as invitations for each character), answer sheets, pens and prizes.
    • IMPROV COMEDY WORKSHOPS Improv comedy is a the community/team builders secret weapon. Many are terrified at the idea of improvisation. However, within five minutes our skilled teaching artists move everyone past the deepest apprehensions and we just have fun. Truly, the Improv workshop is as good as it gets in regards to corporate team building. However, these sessions have been immensely popular at family gatherings, from holidays to birthday parties for kids, teens and adults.
    • THE YES AND… EXPERIENCE My 1-man improv comedy show is an improv comedy workshop in disguised. For 60-75 minutes I run a show. However, your guests are the talent. I MC and of course pop into scenes, but the audience volunteers for this show become the players. The results are pure magic. Admittedly, this is my least popular show. It’s difficult to imagine for many. But EVERY show has been a hit.
    • MADCAPPED MYSTERIES is the most original murder mystery show EVER! Madcapped is also my #1 selling show for the past 18 months. For one, getting a murder mystery experience this good for $600 or less is almost unthinkable. We have amazing rates for libraries and other non-profits. Two, this show leads to more re-booking than anything I have ever produced, other than EIGHT IMPROV. After EVERY show 2-3 or more approach me for my card. “I HAVE TO HAVE THIS AT MY NEXT EVENT!”

    Typical Dinner Theater Show

    • THE ARRIVAL: As your guests arrive, our characters meet & greet, as hosts, party goers, etc.
    • THE DEATH: Either before, during or after sitting for dinner (depending on the catering etc) our lead actor (mob boss, owner of the mansion, etc) makes a big speech before dropping dead.
    • INTEROGATIONS: The entire crowd is deputized as detectives to solve the crime in teams, usually by table. Our detective (same actor playing the deceased) leads the investigation.
    • THE ACCUSATIONS: All is revealed and prizes are awarded for top detective teams.

    WHAT’S A CLUE PARTY?

    Invite your friends…

    Order the box, digital download or hire one of our detectives. Invite your friends. Encourage all to dress for the theme.

    As each guest arrives they receive an invitation addressed to their character and instructed to review but not to share any details until the game starts. Inside each finds their character bio, written in 1st person (they can literally read off the page if not feeling up to some improvisation), and THREE unique clues about other characters.

    FYI The prefab DIY kits include 20 characters but we customize shows for 300+ guests.Up to 40 or so EVERYONE plays a character. For larger events we recommend 20 guests become the “actors” while everyone splits up into teams of detectives. Great for corporate team building.

    SPEED DATING FOR SUSPECTS

    Each guest is double cast as their character AND a deputized detective! After the host reads the introduction to the show, presenting the crime scene location and type of weapon used, everyone inteogates each other, collecting story and clues that lead to a single murderer. But beware of red herrings and human nature.

    THE FINAL REVEAL

    The show ends with everyone filling out answer sheets with their best guest for WHO DID IT, WHERE, HOW & WHY? (Murderer, Location, Weapon and Motive). If no one guests correctly we name the perp THE WINNER. Make sure folks vote for best actor and costume and give them the Award Winning Speech moment.

    The NOT So Gilded Age Story…

    Nearly 14 month ago, I was hired to create an original show around the theme, Gothic Garden Soiree, based on the venue selected for the event. The result is my show, The NOT So Guild Age, a multicharacter murder mystery clue party. The event was a huge success. Especially as EVERY guest committed to their roles.

    The key to the Gothic aesthetic that became the backdrop of the greatest horror stories – Frankenstein, Dracula, Jeckle & Hyde, etc – is the crumbling of centuries old castles, cleaned up with lush draperies, oil lamps, candles, and lush gardens including many tropical varieties brought back to Europe and America from expeditions to Africa, Asia, Polynesia, South America, etc.

    The aristocracy of the late Victorian Era lived large while the masses suffered the shadows of the industrial revolution. This is the world that gave birth to true legends like Jack the Ripper as well as Literary legends like Sherlock Holmes.

    Our story starts at the engagement party for two young loves from two rival families, BOTH former titans of industry – one making their fortune off Whale Oil Lamps, the other from Beeswax Candles.

    But our story takes place 10 years after Edison turned on electric lights in New York City and both families are crumbling and the aging stone palaces slowly are becoming the future crypts.

    Some names will survive. We still have streets and neighborhoods and institutions named after Astor, Vanderbilt and Carnegie.

    But come the turn of the century, no one will remember Beatrice Shaw (no relation) of Shaw Wicks. Today, no one mourns the passing of The Vale family, or their one time international monopoly on Whale Blubber lamps and the oil that kept the world lit for over 100 years.

    • Download & Print the Scripts and other materials. Any paper will due, but you can add some character with mock parchment paper or other fun designs.
    • Print extra copies of the answer sheets and character checklists, at least 1 per player or team.
    • Immediately seal the solution sheets. No envelope required if you trust your guests. They fold over twice to hide the final reveal.
    • If you don’t trust your cheating friends and family, you can add a little tape or sticker to seal 😉
    • Fold up the character sheets to create mock invitations.

    PRE GAME

    • As your guests arrive, distribute character invitations. Instruct all to review their character information over drinks and snacks but refrain from sharing before the game starts.
    • Distribute answer sheets, character checklists and pens.
    • When it’s time to start, either read the Introduction, which announces the scenario and murder OR, play the corresponding video, if available. There is a QR code on the solution sheets.

    GAME PLAY

    • GAME PLAY #1 Speed Dating for Clues: Instruct every character to mix and mingle with every guest, sharing character bios and clues.
    • GAME PLAY #2 Public Declarations: One at a time, have every guest share their character script, written in first person, folks can literally read off the page. OR they are welcome to paraphrase and go off script. Then, mingle and collect clues.
    • Deliberations: Either individually or in small teams (often couples, etc), players can now sort out the clues.
    • Final Solutions: Either collect all the answers sheets and have one play detective, reading the answers OR have each team read their answers aloud.
    • Final Reveals: You can now open and read the final solution for your game, make sure it’s the corresponding solution to the introduction used as there are three potential combinations.
    • OSCAR / TONY / EMMY WINNING SPEECHES: The final piece of the puzzle are the BEST ACTOR & BEST COSTUME awards.

    The most original murder mystery show of all time because it’s created on the spot by you and your guests. Our professional Detective and Improv comedian leads the storytelling, and by the end of the night everyone is a character – witness, suspect, friend and family and the crime and it’s solution are completely original. It’s like being in a crime drama movie.

    The show starts like a mad libs book, or the popular improv game, call ’em’s. Our professional comedian, and decorated murder mystery detective, leads the crowd to establish a crime. As in an improv show, we create the WHO WHERE WHAT of a crime scene.

    Over the the course of the next 20-30 minutes, every guest becomes a characters, created organically thru the interactions of the MC and guests. We meet various public servants, from the Mayor to the coroner to the District Attorney as well as the Victim’s friends, family and coworkers.

    Eventually a handful os characters are named as suspects, while everyone else becomes a deputy, teaming up to interogate these dubious characters and solve the crime.

    Artistic Director, Walt Frasier has 25+ years of professional credits in comedy, Theater and music. He got his big break in TV performing comedy sketches on MTV’s Stankervision, Late Nite with David Letterman, TruTV’s Friends of the People, and most recently on HBO’s Pause with Sam Jay. As an actor, Frasier has appeared on NBC’s Blacklist, CBS’s Blue Bloods, USA’s Royal Pains (Filmed in Puerto Rico), Netflix’s Lilyhammer (filmed in Norway) and NICK’s Naked Brothers Band. In addition to 1000s of live performances around the world, Frasier has also appeared in numerous commercials, industrials, webisodes and reality TV shows.
