With over 30 years of experience in theater, comedy, and television, Walt Frasier is the Artistic Director of Improv Theater LLC, a leading edutainment center known for its high-impact comedy shows and workshops. I am very excited for this fall!!! We are finally returning to a normalcy schedule of classes. This session will include NINE class days. I know different folks travel different weeks, Jewish Holidays, Comic Con, etc etc etc so I have built in make up sessions. There will be a showcase on November 1st where this class will take center stage along with other invited teams.
Every class will include a series of warm up / ice breakers, games we play in every class, rehearsal, warm up to a show and corporate team building workshops. Then we play various performance games, each week highlighting 1 new scene game plus playing a few large team games that get everyone involved.
WHY IMPROV COMEDY?
Improv Comedy is a ton of fun and a powerful tool to develop skills for the office, classroom, home and out in the world. A must for any performer, we also daily work with corporate teams and student groups using the same games to teach community, leadership, sales and more. While I spend the last few days of an incredibly busy summer at the beach, the only place I love more than being on stage, I’m exited for the next month of shows, classes and more….
Thanks to a number of corporate events, professional development for teachers, k12 residencies and more, I might not have a day off in the next e months. I have two public Murder Mystery Shows coming up, September 5th in Westchester is SOLD OUT at the Yorkville Library. 3pm Saturday, September 27 at the Broadway Comedy Club is on sale now. This is will be another edition of MADCAPPED MYSTERIES which has been selling out all over the area.
On September 6 I have two fall class sessions starting:
9am for kids & Teens September 6, 13, 20, 27 October 4, 11, 18, 25 November
1pm for Adults (16+ welcome).
September 13, we are back in Brooklyn, 9pm at the Rat. I personally won’t be at this show but we have an amazing cast scheduled. Come fun in Dumbo!
September 14th I am back at the South Shore Brewery in Oceanside, NY LONG ISLAND. This will be our second improv show there and I have also had two SOLD OUT murder mystery shows in the last 4 months at South Shore. I truly.love this venue, for the ambiance, staff, 20 taps of homemade brews (SHARK BITE IPA my favorite) and Smokey Joe’s BBQ, a permanently parked food truck.
